Rebecca
Founder and Inspiring Leader
Rebecca’s teaching journey began as a ski instructor in Japan, where she discovered her passion for working with children. After a successful career in advertising, she transitioned fully into teaching and founded Marlow Mentors, where she now leads the 11+ team and oversees KS1/KS2. Her leadership is driven by a commitment to creating a fun, supportive learning environment for both students and tutors.

Her teaching style was shaped by her time working at a school affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy, where she received extensive training in confidence-building and resilience. This experience deeply influenced Marlow Mentors' nurturing environment. Rebecca holds a PGCE from Roehampton University, a BA from Newcastle University (2.1), and has taught in Sydney and London, including leading the Computing department at GDST Blackheath High School for Girls. Confidence and resilience are at the core of her teaching approach.
Mary
Nurturing Expertise in Early Education
With over 10 years of teaching experience, Mary brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to her role in Marlow. Having held a leadership position at the prestigious Maltman’s Green independent school, Mary has honed her skills in creating engaging and supportive learning environments. Her passion lies in making learning both fun and effective, ensuring that each child feels confident in their abilities. Specialising in teaching Years 1-4, Mary’s expertise in both Maths and English allows her to tailor lessons that inspire a love for learning in young minds.
Josh
Building Confidence Through Writing Excellence
Josh, a dedicated educator with over 4 years of experience, has quickly established himself as a dynamic teacher in Marlow. He previously taught at Sir William Borlase and is currently inspiring students at Holy Trinity. Known for his exceptional ability to boost confidence in young learners, Josh specialises in teaching writing to KS2 students. His warm and encouraging approach makes learning an enjoyable experience, helping children develop strong writing skills while nurturing their self-belief. Josh is passionate about creating a positive and supportive environment where every child can thrive.
Elle
11+ Specialist and KS2 Expert
Elle is a seasoned educator with a strong background in teaching Key Stage 2 at a high-achieving school in Maidenhead. Now focusing on 11+ preparation alongside Rebecca in Marlow, Elle’s expertise is invaluable to our students. Her approach to teaching is centered around building confidence and making learning an enjoyable experience. Elle’s ability to connect with students and create a supportive learning environment ensures that every child she works with feels prepared and confident in their academic journey. Her passion for nurturing young minds is evident in her thoughtful and engaging lessons.
Claire
A Wealth of Experience and Warmth
Claire’s impressive 20-year teaching career has been marked by her deep commitment to nurturing young learners. Currently serving as the Assistant Head at Spinfield, a well-respected Marlow school, Claire is a cornerstone of our teaching team. Her extensive experience allows her to expertly teach children from Years 1-6, always ensuring that each lesson is both engaging and impactful. Claire’s warm and friendly demeanor makes her a beloved figure among students, and her dedication to building their confidence is evident in every class she teaches. She is passionate about making learning an enjoyable journey for all.
Molly
Passionate Educator and 11+ Specialist
Molly brings a wealth of experience from her time teaching at outstanding schools in London, where she developed her skills as a dedicated and innovative educator. Recently settling in Henley with her family and young daughter, Molly continues to inspire and nurture young learners in her role as a Reception teacher at Trinity School. With over 5 years of experience teaching the 11+, Molly is deeply committed to helping each child realise their full potential, guiding them through their learning journey with care and expertise. She supports Rebecca at 11+ workshops during school holidays and teaches in Henley on Mondays, providing students with the confidence and tools they need to succeed.
Camilla
Inspiring Young Minds in Henley-on-Thames
With over a decade of teaching experience, Camilla is a highly skilled educator who has previously taught at the esteemed independent schools Rupert House and Moulsford. Now teaching in Henley-on-Thames, Camilla specialises in Maths for Year 2 and 3 students. Her ability to motivate and engage young learners is unparalleled, making her lessons both effective and enjoyable. Camilla is dedicated to helping children build confidence in their mathematical abilities, ensuring that each student leaves her class feeling empowered and excited to learn.
