Meet the Mentors

Rebecca

Founder and Inspiring Leader

Rebecca’s teaching journey began as a ski instructor in Japan, where she discovered her passion for working with children. After a successful career in advertising, she transitioned fully into teaching and founded Marlow Mentors, where she now leads the 11+ team and oversees KS1/KS2. Her leadership is driven by a commitment to creating a fun, supportive learning environment for both students and tutors.

Her teaching style was shaped by her time working at a school affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy, where she received extensive training in confidence-building and resilience. This experience deeply influenced Marlow Mentors' nurturing environment. Rebecca holds a PGCE from Roehampton University, a BA from Newcastle University (2.1), and has taught in Sydney and London, including leading the Computing department at GDST Blackheath High School for Girls. Confidence and resilience are at the core of her teaching approach.
